There is no single best internet marketing company — there is a company that fits your task, your budget, and the way your sales team works. This page is a practical checklist for comparing agencies in Uzbekistan: what to ask, which answers should worry you, and what to fix in the contract before you sign it.
"Best" is relative to the job you are hiring for
A firm that is excellent at Meta media buying for a coffee chain may be the wrong choice for a B2B equipment supplier with a three-month sales cycle. The skills barely overlap.
So start by naming the job. Do you need demand where none exists, better conversion from traffic you already have, a brand that looks credible next to bigger competitors, or a site that stops losing people on mobile?
Once the job is named, the shortlist gets short fast, and most of the agencies with the loudest positioning drop off it on their own.
Write the job down in one sentence before the first call. Agencies answer the brief they are given, and a vague brief reliably produces a vague proposal.
Questions worth asking on the first call
Ask what they would measure, and insist on a specific event — a submitted form, a call, an installation, a paid order — rather than "engagement" or "reach".
Ask who does the work. In a small market it is common for the person who sold you the project to hand it to a junior the following week. Ask for the name of the person who will run your ad account.
Ask what they would need from you. An agency that expects nothing from your side — no product access, no sales feedback, no answers about margin — is planning to work in a vacuum.
Ask how they will handle the first month if results disappoint. A useful answer describes diagnosis — checking tracking, creative, offer, and landing page in order. A weak answer promises to try harder.
Red flags that are worth walking away from
A guaranteed number of leads at a guaranteed price, before any test has run, is the clearest one. Nobody knows that number in advance; promising it means either inexperience or a plan to renegotiate later.
Guaranteed top-1 rankings by a fixed date belong in the same category. Search engines do not sell that, and neither can an agency.
Other warning signs: refusing to work inside your own ad account, reporting only screenshots of reach, no written scope, and quoting a price before asking a single question about your business.
Be wary too of an agency that agrees with everything you say in the first meeting. Part of what you are buying is someone willing to tell you your offer or your price is the problem.
Read the contract before the case studies
Check who owns the assets. The ad account, the pixel, the domain, the analytics property, the design source files, and the site's code should be yours. We hand over design source files as a matter of course.
Check the reporting cadence and what a report must contain. Weekly is reasonable for paid channels; monthly is normal for SEO. "On request" means never.
Check the exit terms: notice period, what happens to campaigns in flight, and how access is transferred. A clean exit clause costs nothing to agree at the start and is impossible to negotiate during a disagreement.
Finally, check what happens to unspent budget and to work in progress if either side ends the agreement early. Vague wording there is where most agency disputes in this market actually begin.
How to read agency case studies honestly
Ask what the number counts. App users, lead-form submissions, and paid orders are different things, and stacking them into one big figure is the oldest trick in agency presentations.
Our own examples stay separate for that reason: LoadMe, a product for freight carriers, has 7,946 app users; MSC, a B2B medical equipment company, has 407 lead-form submissions; Leader Audit, an audit firm, has 97. We also work with Yoldosh in logistics.
Ask about the failures too. An agency that has never had a campaign underperform has either not run many, or is not telling you about them.
Local realities that change the comparison in Uzbekistan
The link market here is small, so aggressive off-page SEO strategies imported from larger markets often do not apply. Technical quality, content, and internal linking carry more of the weight.
Traffic is overwhelmingly mobile and concentrated on Instagram and Telegram, which raises the value of an agency that can shoot vertical video quickly rather than one that only buys media.
Time zone and language are practical filters. An agency in Tashkent that works in Uzbek and Russian, and can be on site with a camera this week, has a real operational advantage over a remote firm several hours away.
Payment and contracting are practical filters as well. A local company can invoice the way your accountant expects and settle in the currency your business runs on, which quietly removes a lot of friction.
Where Jar Agency fits, and where it does not
We are a full-cycle agency in Tashkent: targeted advertising, SMM, video production, and SEO from $500 each, with design, branding, sites, and applications priced per project.
We are a good fit when you want creative, media buying, the website, and analytics handled by one connected team, and when you are prepared to talk openly about margins and what happens to a lead after it arrives.
We are the wrong fit if you want a guaranteed cost per lead written into the contract, or a channel run without any measurement attached. We would rather say that now than three months into a project.

Частые вопросы
Is there really no best internet marketing company?+
Not in the absolute sense. There is a best fit for a defined task, budget, and sales process. Rankings and award lists mostly reflect marketing budgets and self-nomination, so treat them as a starting point for a shortlist and nothing more.
How much should I budget to compare agencies fairly?+
Ask each one to quote against the same written brief and the same success event, otherwise the numbers are not comparable. For reference, our targeted advertising, SMM, video, and SEO services start from $500, with design and websites priced per project.
Should I choose a large agency or a small one?+
Size mainly changes who touches your account. Larger teams offer redundancy; smaller teams usually give you direct access to the specialists doing the work. Ask who will actually run your account day to day, then judge that person rather than the company size.
How long should I give an agency before judging results?+
Long enough for a full testing cycle and a second round of creative on paid channels, and considerably longer for SEO, where meaningful movement is a matter of months. Judging paid social after one week measures the learning phase, not the agency.
What should I keep control of?+
The ad account and pixel, the domain and hosting, the analytics property, the design source files, and the site code. Any agency that resists transferring these is building a switching cost into your relationship on purpose.
